*Summary/objective:* This role is responsible for developing and leading strategies that will enable the Andy Boy brand to expand its presence in the retail, food service and wholesale marketplaces.

_ * Responsible for understanding and developing strategies to maintain the relevance of the Andy Boy brand in the retail, foodservice and wholesale marketplaces * Coordinates communication between D’Arrigo California and Andy Boy customers to provide value added services to the accounts * Guides daily pricing strategies for the sales team on our Andy Boy product lines * Leads the development of a distribution strategy within the retail, food service and wholesale marketplaces to enhance our brand by offering, not only line extensions, but additional services to become more of a solution for our partners * Forecasts the needs of our retail, foodservice and wholesale partners to better plan, internally, the commodity need of these segments * Interacts with the company’s leadership team in directing our overall business growth and development for both short- and long-term success * Works together with the business leadership team in developing strategies to increase overall business profitability * Leads joint business planning discussions with our top retail, foodservice and wholesale partners * Responsible to guide the assimilation of data and create a template that we can use for future discussions * Develops strategies that will focus on guiding customer development within our core business partnerships * Reviews and tracks compliance of contracts * Mentors and guides our sales professionals * Facilitates customer interaction via customer visits to our facilities or trips to their headquarters * This is a leadership position that, in collaboration with departmental management, is responsible for budgeting, conducting presentations, developing department policies, verifying sales department non-exempt timecards and approving time off * Works with the Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development and the Director of Business Development to establish a Sales Wants List * Accountable for recruitment and performance management of department team members * Consistent attendance is mandatory * Other job duties as assigned *Additional functions:* * Participates in industry conferences (food shows) and travel as necessary *Competencies:* * Communication skills – both verbal and written * Multi-tasking * Critical/strategic thinking and problem solving * Leadership/mentoring capabilities * Presentation Skills * Collaboration * Strategic leadership *Work environment:* * Fast paced environment * Primarily at a desk, with some visits to the fields *Physical requirements:* * See separate physical requirements document for this role *Travel required:* * Minimum of 10% of this role will require travel (domestically and internationally) *Required Qualifications education and experience:* * Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent * A minimum of 4 years in the agriculture industry * A minimum of 4 years of sales experience * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record *Preferred Qualifications:* * Diverse agriculture industry experience *Additional eligibility requirements:* * Ability to obtain a valid passport and the ability to travel domestically and internationally *Affirmative Action/EEO statement:* We are an Equal Opportunity Employer – The Company assures equal employment opportunity with respect to recruiting, hiring, training, compensation, transfers, and promotions.
