*Job Description*
Pacific Ag Rentals (“PAR”) is a “farmer-owned” tractor rental company headquartered in Salinas, CA.
PAR is growing exponentially and continues to expand its geographic territory.
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in standing up the Financial, Planning & Analysis function.
The Financial Analyst will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, forecasting, budgeting, and providing insights and recommendations that will drive the future growth of PAR.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Lead the annual forecasting process as well as the monthly variance update.
Work with the executive team and department leads to ensure timely communication, preparation, and delivery of these reports.
* Develop and maintain financial models, projections, and scenarios to support strategic planning and decision making.
* Perform variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Conduct market and industry research and benchmarking to evaluate the company's performance and competitiveness.
* Provide financial guidance and support to various departments and projects, such as sales, procurement, operations, etc.
· Support the design and implementation of dashboards, as needed.
· Ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support the CFO and management.
*Qualification Requirements*
* A minimum of three years of FP&A experience.
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or similar analytical field.
* Strong experience creating financial models, including use of database manipulation.
SQL, Power BI and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
* Strong analytics and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and high standards in quality and accurate reporting.
* Demonstrated strong communication skills and a pro-active approach to building working relationships with business partners (e.
g.
procurement, branch managers, sales, and operations).
