After-School Enrichment Program Assistant

*Santa Catalina School* *AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM ASSISTANT* *(Part-time)* Santa Catalina School seeks applicants for our After-School Enrichment Program support team in the Lower and Middle School.
The After-School Enrichment Program runs August-June.

*Qualifications & Responsibilities* As an After-School Enrichment Program Assistant, you will supervise and facilitate free play, snack time, and monitor homework time for students in PreK-Grade 3 or Grade 4-Grade 8, typically from 3:00-5:30 p.
m.
Monday-Friday.
You are a positive role model for students, and you build relationships with them, lead various games, and oversee free play and activities for your student group.
This position is expected to be a supportive and contributing member of our after-school enrichment team.

during school calendar dates (present-Dec.
15, 2023, January-May 2024) ○ After-School Enrichment does not take place during school holidays ● Strong preference for candidates with additional availability and interest through May 2024.

50 - 18/hour KNOWLEDGE OF: ● Child behavior, development, and learning patterns ● Interpersonal skills of patience, tact, and playfulness ● Strong oral and written communication ● Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication ● Basic standards of child health and safety ● Diverse cultural communities and backgrounds ABILITY TO: ● Role-model positive behavior for students ● Oversee and monitor students in PreK-Grade 8 ● Provide a safe, clean, and organized environment ● Recognize conflict between students and provide guidance and coping skills ● Interact with individuals or small groups of students with tack and patience ● Perform a variety of clerical duties in support of program activities ● Understand and relate to children ● Observe health and safety regulations ● Work independently and as a member of a team ● Learn, follow, and explain school rules, regulations, policies, and daily practices regarding the After-School Enrichment Program operation.
