To supervise all children’s activities and have full knowledge of child care functions as they pertain to their age groups.
*Essential Functions*
* Ensure appropriate supervision of children according to state, legal and safety guidelines
* Ensure that all projects support the vision and direction of our child care program
* Ensure that all brochures, schedules, activities information, and related collateral regarding childcare is maintained daily (teacher records only) Maintain binder of each child’s progress.
* See to cleanliness and tidiness of childcare facility
* Clear and direct communication with all other departments and assist in other areas when needed
* Greet all parents
* Direct all parents to the appropriate location in the facility
* Answer all inquiries about our childcare programs, the facility, and amenities
* Commitment to providing excellent childcare and customer service
* Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in the area of childcare and day to day operations
* Plans and implements activities that promote the social, physical, spiritual and intellectual growth of children.
* Responsible for and models the care, supervision, hygiene, learning, and developmental activities, specialized programs, and redirection of children covering pre-school ages 2-5 years old.
* Communicates directly with parents.
* Maintains classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness.
* Flexible and willing to fill in where and as needed.
*Education and Qualifications*
* Two years of experience in childcare or similar customer service role required
* CPR and First Aid certification
* Must have child abuse clearance and fingerprint clearances
* Must be able to handle pressure situations including life-threatening situations with confidence and composure
* Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language
* Detailed oriented with good organizational skills
* Excellent customer service and associate relations skills
* Competent in problem-solving in all guest relations
* Ability to use sound judgment regarding day to day operations of facility
* Able to work a flexible work schedule
* Able to report to work within 30 minutes when on-call
*Education Qualifications:*

S in Early Childhood Education; OR Teachers must have a minimum of 12 semester ECE units including Child Growth and Development, Child Family and Community, Child Health and Safety, and Curriculum.
Prefer one year of experience in a preschool/ childcare setting.
*Basic Skillset* :
* Good command of English; Bilingual, English/Spanish-speaking abilities ( *_required_* )
* Proof of citizenship or right to work in the United States.
* Criminal Record Clearance, Physical examination, TB, MMR & Tdap (vaccine) clearance before hire.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Provide own transportation; Valid Driver’s License, vehicle insurance, and good driving record.

Each program is monitored by the Director.
The Preschool teacher will report directly to the Director.
