POSITION SUMMARY
The Harvest/Sanitation Tech is responsible for harvesting plants, safely operating, and maintaining equipment, and processing waste pursuant to regulations and standard operating procedures.
The Harvest Tech will assist in supplying consistent, high-quality marijuana while remaining fully consistent with Standard Operating Procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Manage all harvest equipment with a focus on safety, ensuring tools and machinery are always functional; start up equipment at the beginning of each shift and follow proper shut down procedures at the end of each shift; make adjustments to equipment as necessary to ensure quality and consistency.
May assists in other operations of the grow, to include but not limited to set-up, cleaning of equipment, sanitation of rooms, irrigation.
SANITATION – FLOWER ROOMS, NURSERY, FERTIGATION ROOMS Use of any chemicals necessary Clean carts, all flower/nursery rooms, and hallways Irrigation line cleanout Fertigation/Irrigation tank cleaning IRRIGATION Replace damaged lines Manifold repair Filter cleaning Sump pump repair/cleaning Irrigation line cleaning HARVESTING - FLOWER ROOMS Cut down full plants for harvests.
Remove trellis.
Take bins out and put on carts for METRC.
Tag bins for proper plant identification.
CLEANOUT – FLOWER, NURSERY, MOM AND IRRIGATION ROOMS Wash tables Squeegee floors Clean fans, plenum, gutters, sub-pumps Remove bags, debris, and equipment.
Sanitize, rinse and squeegee and gutter cleanout.
Filter changes Maintain a clean and safe work environment! Monitor quality and measure accurately to ensure optimal production level.
Works closely with Cultivation personnel to manage workflow.
May participate in harvests, trimming, cloning and other duties as assigned to maintain an efficient workflow throughout the facility.
Maintains a respectful and business-like work environment.
Maintains a serious, positive, and team-oriented approach to Security, reporting any security concerns or breaches immediately to designated person(s) Perform other duties as Proper PPE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state cannabis licensing regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent required Basic computer operating skills required.
Good verbal and written skills Basic math skills required.
Prior experience working with plants preferred.
Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to engage in creating an amicable workplace.
Good personal hygiene, physical aptitude, and health necessary to perform manual labor.
Must be flexible to business needs, may need to work overtime during harvests, may be asked to work on weekends and holidays.
Medical marijuana and recreational marijuana knowledge highly desirable Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment Organization and planning skills Ability to work a set schedule.
