Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Phlebotomy Technician Skills Instructor to join our team at our Salinas, CA, location.
We are interested in candidates who are looking to work for a company that is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce! This specific program is scheduled to run Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
The Skill Instructor is scheduled to work two days a week during the skill portion of the program.
Applicants must be available during the hours of this class schedule to be considered for this position.
The Phlebotomy Technician Skill Instructor’s duties and responsibilities include:
Instructing students on the skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject.
Assisting lead instructor to evaluate, report and record student performance and progress.
Assisting lead instructor with all required skill labs, grading class assignments, and exams.
Preparing students to go on to an externship.
Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
Providing a professional role model for students.
Maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies
This role requires the following qualifications:
Current California CPT 1 license
1 year of experience preferred
must be proficient in all aspects of blood collection including capillary, syringes, vacutainer, and butterfly methods
Must be comfortable with speaking to large groups
Ability to multitask and think critically
Organized and detail oriented
