Group Fitness Instructor

We're looking for dynamic, experienced individuals who are passionate about working with Parkinson's individual of all levels.
Our fitness instructors must be able to motivate and inspire their participants through various exercise modalities and basic boxing.
An instructor at our facility must be passionate and determined while maintaining a fun attitude and experience in fitness with special populations of existing disease.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* * Instruct fitness classes, at high level of proficiency.
* Set-up and remove class equipment.
* Maintain order and cleanliness in aerobic studio.
Keep class tools clean.
* Correspond with other instructors, volunteers and staff.
* Maintain current certification through continuing education.
* Present exercise routines that are safe and effective.
Include warm-up, exercise intervals and cool down.
* Motivate participants and recognize their progress.
* Communicate basic guidelines regarding injury prevention and effectiveness throughout the class.
* Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
*Absolutely Required Skills:* * Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for fitness.
* CPR and First Aid certifications required.
* Certified instructor (ACE, AFAA, ACSM) or equivalent required.
* 1+ years of experience with responsibilities in fitness training or class instruction.
*Desired Skills:* * Additional specialty/certification in Medical Fitness preferred.
Creative at designing fitness exercises with modifications.
*Physical Requirements:* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
Repetitive hand use.
Job Type: Contract Pay: $20.
00 - $80.
