Assignment Details: -Position: Special Education ParaprofessionalLocation: CaliforniaEmployment Type: [Full-time]Start Date: ASAPEnd Date: June 2024Zip code of a site: 93920Age Group: ElementaryTotal hours per week: 30 hrs per weekDuration of Contract: School Year 2023-2024 Responsibilities: - Assist special education teachers with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs- Provide support to students in both inclusive classrooms and resource rooms, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment- Adapt and modify materials or activities as needed to meet the diverse needs of students- Reinforce instruction and provide assistance to students in completing assignments- Assist with behavior management strategies and techniques to promote a positive and supportive classroom environment- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and interactions- Assist with the implementation of assistive technology and other specialized equipment as necessaryQualifications: - Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, Should have 48+ college units- Previous experience working with students with special needs is desirable- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about different disabilities and instructional strategies for students with special needs- Ability to follow directions and carry out tasks effectivelyTo apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, and any relevant certifications or references to (email address).
