Santa Catalina School seeks an innovative, dedicated, and student-centered full-time Upper School visual arts teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
The full-time visual arts teacher is responsible for teaching six sections of visual art as assigned by the chair of the department; grade-appropriate curriculum planning and instruction for subject areas including differing levels of studio art, 3D media, digital media, and/or darkroom photography; for innovation, creativity, and integration between disciplines; for ensuring the proper care, use, and inventory of artistic equipment and supplies; for art exhibitions that celebrate student art; for serving as an advisor to a group of students; and for overseeing the design, layout, and content of the yearbook.
Reporting to the Head of the Upper School, the Upper School art teacher will join a small department that works closely together and values collegiality.
