I have a Ford F350 truck 40 gal tank full of fresh diesel.
There is sediment in the bottom of the tank which clogs the fuel sending unit strainer after about 20 min running.
If you pump out the tank and run it through a coarse filter the diesel just came from the gas station and the truck runs fine on it.
If you pump out the tank its about $275 worth of diesel you can have.
