Hey there neighbor,
Do you have a landscaping or small renovation project that would benefit from an extra pair of hands — even one that might take multiple days? Perhaps your yard's gotten out of control or your "DIY" project never seems to get done? Reply by email and tell me about it! I love to dig holes & trenches, pull weeds, prune trees, distribute mulch, revamp irrigation & drainage, build hardscapes & fences, lift & move heavy things, assemble furniture, fix stuff, and more.
I'm happy to work alongside you, taking direction as we go, or you can leave me to work on my own — it's totally up to you.
Just think of me as your "outdoor handyman".
🧑🌾,
Justin
Here's a little bit about me:
After a dozen years living and working in San Francisco, my wife and I bought a house in Fresno while she attended grad school.
We hired a general contractor to renovate the kitchen and 2 bathrooms while I worked on the rest of the house: 3 bedrooms, 6 closets, a large living room, and a 2-car garage with workshop.
I did your typical DIY stuff: baseboards and trim demo, drywall repair, painting, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, modular closet shelving and drawers, 1,000 ft² of LVP flooring, etc.
I even replaced 9 hand-cut glass lites in a custom 8×5′ picture window with double-pane insulated glass units.
When the pandemic hit, I decided to focus my attention on our quarter-acre suburban lot.
I expected to spend only a few weeks whipping it into shape but ended up working on it through 2022.
In the end, I put over 100 plants and trees in the ground (predominantly drought-tolerant/low-water species), built 4 raised garden beds and a fence to hide our pool pump, overhauled the entire irrigation system with new valves, new PVC pipes, and drip hose, dug 2 dry wells connected to 4 gutter downspouts, poured a concrete pad for our garbage cans, created custom wood and concrete bases for 22 low-voltage LED landscape lights, etc.
I even helped a neighbor build a floating deck around their stock tank pool.
And lest I forget, in January 2022 I took a 5-day timber framing course!
To make a long story short, my wife graduated and got a job in Monterey, so we sold the house in Fresno, and now we're renting in PG.
So until we find a place of our own to renovate, I'm super happy to be your friendly landscaper / gardener / handyman.
I'm willing to travel anywhere within about a 30-mile radius of Monterey (i.
