The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides assistance and collects data in the delivery of patient care in a correctional setting, utilizing nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
As part of this role, the LVN directs and guides patient teaching and activities in accordance with their education, demonstrated competencies, and the Nursing Practice Act (NPA).
The LVN works closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and compliance with established policies and procedures.
