*This is a STEAL*
Very nice condition, Darwin Drums.
.
(Darwin bought Fibes at some point, and continued manufacturing drums using the acquired shells and hardware) "Fibes" logo is from internet.
Four Maple Toms, Pearl "rack system" with a 22" Kick Drum.
.
Color (wrap) is a Blue Marine Pearl, best as I can describe it.
May have been rewrapped at some point, not sure.
The floor tom is "legged" - not the hanging type.
There is a Pearl Rack System with the deal.
.
One (straight) bar, two legs, two feet, two tom mounts.
(There'll be the extra rack tom until you pick up another holder) This rack system has the square type cross-tube, and cylindrical legs.
The rack system includes two legs, two feet, two rack tom mounts.
Cage (rack) is worth $250 on the used market, when you factor in the two tom mounts.
Mounts on the 3 rack toms are also suitable for Tama, DW / PDP / Pacific tom holders, among others.
See pictures, you'll see the mounting type, it's a very common style.
The 18x22" kick drum is not a Fibes/Darwin and it's not a matching drum.
.
but it is blue, it's natural wood with a very light satin finish.
It could be easily refinished, finished or wrapped, or left as it is.
It doesn't have a tom holder, the Pearl rack takes care of the toms.
This bass drum is very customizable!
If I were to keep it the bass drum, I'd custom paint some marbling to help it match the toms, then I'd clear-lacquer it.
Cheap and effective.
There's a place in Watsonville called Harrison's Paint.
.
Pretty sure this guy is still there, he'd probably take the drum on as a project, and he is very, very reasonable, and super honest.
Don't remember his name, it might be Daniel(?) but usually there's only the one dude there, that's probably him.
Super good guy.
.
Honest, capable, and he listens.
You'll see it in one or two of the pictures.
It's a custom drum, the hardware is of fair quality, nothing special, but it's functional and the thin maple shell is of very good quality.
(It's a GREAT sounding kick drum, especially for recording)
Take the whole drum kit.
$600.
00.
.
I could use the extra Christmas money.
As for the Darwin toms, they are; 10, 12, 13, 16 Maple.
.
.
They are all deep drums.
.
Serious tubs for that huge Fibes sound! The floor tom sounds huge and balanced.
Mounts on the 3 rack toms are suitable for Tama, DW / PDP / Pacific and Fibes tom holders, among others.
See pictures, you'll see the mounting type that it would need, it's a very common style.
A couple of small drill holes are in one or two of the drums, for badge installation that apparently never took place.
Fibes sold to Darwin, or maybe it was Corder first, but anyway, Darwin was Fibes parts and shells.
