Astrid is a young husky girl in Salinas, Ca she needs help, our shelter is overwhelmed and she needs a miracle, can anyone foster/rescue to save her? Maybe you have fostered for a rescue, or we can help find one? She needs a patient home where she can feel safe, (she is not adoptable but may be with a behavioral waiver)

🚨Rescue needed ASAP! 🚨
Astrid is a timid husky girl who was on the run in Prunedale for days.
A dedicated group of people managed to catch her and get her to us at the shelter.
She has been spayed (has the spay tattoo) and has a microchip (only info being that it was implanted by SNIP) but no one is looking for her.
She was initially very shut down and avoidant at the shelter, even growling at some of the staff who tried to work with her.
She’s improved a bit, but is still not doing well in this environment.
She needs out ASAP.
The shelter is very full and her kennel space is needed.
I’ve worked with her quite a bit.
I like her very much.
She does not understand at all what she’s doing here and she definitely is ready to run, if given the chance.
That being said, Astrid is good in the office, good on leash, good with other dogs, takes treats gently, just an all-around nice girl who has been let down by her guardians.
Her time is very short.
Rescue needed to approved partner ASAP.
