Essential Functions:
Responsibilities:
To oversee the daily operations of an attended donation center while in compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsible for opening/closing and all daily operations of a stand-alone attended donation center including receiving and sorting donations and customer service.
To receive donations from donors utilizing the highest level of customer service.
To sort donations into bins according to category/material/etc.
To open the attended donation center and prepare for daily business.
To close the attended donation center and secure the building.
To provide the highest level of customer service to all donors.
To monitor and assist with the loading and unloading of trucks.
To monitor donation center supply levels and to order supplies when needed.
To ensure all donations are processed expediently from the donation door to the sorting bins.
To maintain safe and appropriate conditions throughout the donation center.
To keep the donation center, clean and hazard free including cleaning the restrooms.
To observe and ensure compliance with personnel and safety policies and procedures.
To be an ambassador of Goodwill and explain how donations support the local community.
To ensure daily/monthly safety self-inspections and drills are conducted.
To assist in training of new donation center employees.
To record and report each and every donation received at the donation center.
To maintain integrity and report any and all suspected theft or misuse of donations.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
Must be able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with, and among, donation center personnel while motivating them to their best performance.
Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including evenings and weekends, and occasionally, long hours.
Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to use repetitive motions when moving and organizing donations.
Must be able to engage in prolonged periods of waking, moving, lifting, stooping, and moving of bins and material handling equipment.
Must be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Customer service experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
