Duties
Assists with the coordination of MWR publicity through newsletters, newspapers, Plans of the Day, brochures, posters, and other media sources.
Prepares draft articles for newspapers and newsletters.
Assists in researching and developing resources available to provide cost-effective and profitable programs, events, promotions, and activities.
Assists in the preparation of brochures, flyers, posters, videos, newsletters, and other media sources.
Ensures media distribution.
Maintains calendar of command events to assist with coordination and promotion.
Performs a variety of clerical assistant tasks such as controlling correspondence, preparing routine correspondence, responding to telephone inquiries, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation.
Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
Qualifications A minimum of two years of clerical experience.
Experience of marketing/advertising preferred.
Ability to use computer-based programs such as Harvard Graphics, Word Perfect, survey tabulation, etc.
Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
Additional information Executive Order 12564 requires a Federal workplace free of illegal drugs.
