State Fund Field Operations has an opening for a Senior Marketing Representative who will primarily handle the South Bay territory in our Greater Bay Area Region.
Under the supervision of the Regional Marketing Manager, the incumbent will: • Physically visit and meet with brokers (when conditions allow) in order to develop, maintain and strengthen business relations with key stakeholders in assigned book of brokerages • Provide brokers with regular updates as to their book performance and progress towards incentive goals • Solicit new business opportunities in accordance with Regional Operational goals and guidelines • Collaborate with Underwriting and other functions (Loss Prevention, Auditing and Claims) when soliciting both new and renewal business • Engage and provide education to our broker community by leading / facilitating instructional seminars and meetings This is a designated telework position which will require occasional overnight travel in California for trainings and customer meetings.
You will also be required to travel weekly throughout the assigned local territory (usually day trips) to meet with customers and also attend periodic meetings in Pleasanton, Vacaville, and other State Fund office locations.
(Note, currently meetings are virtual.
We expect this to transition back to in-person meetings when conditions allow.
) Desired Qualifications: • At least 2 years of underwriting, marketing or brokerage experience • Have an understanding of Workers’ Compensation insurance • Ability to develop, facilitate, and present instructional seminars and training • Excellent organization and time management skills • Ability to work independently outside of an office environment and engage with your peers within a team-centric environment • Positive attitude and outstanding customer service skills • Ability to perform a broad range of simultaneous duties • Ability to analyze data • Communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, with a variety of customers You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.
