JOB SUMMARY
The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) will assist in planning, implementing, and activating community initiatives for Monterey Bay F.
C.
We are looking for an outgoing, energetic candidate that will connect with a verity of local and regional community organizations, schools, nonprofits, and service groups.
The CEC will also be responsible for developing event schedules, coordinate player appearances, the recruitment / supervision of “Street Team Members” and game day Community Partner recognition, ensuring the street team has a grass roots presence throughout Monterey / Salinas Communities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and execute community outreach to promote MBFC ticketing efforts, including special events and other marketing initiatives.
coordinating with marketing for the scheduling of the photographer & videographer for events.
Develop relationships with area organizations and community stakeholders to support the integration of “DEFEND THE 831” in surrounding communities.
Assist with the coordination of Game Presentation elements tied to community programs including in-game promotions, street team duties.
Oversee the recruitment and management of the MONTEREY UNION COMMUNITY STREET TEAM, including assisting in the development of budgeting and scheduling.
Facilitate outside requests for charitable, promotional and community appearances and donations.
Represent the MBFC at notable community events.
The CEC will be responsible to coordinate and implement the distribution of MBFC marketing materials (pocket schedules, special event nights, and special offers) in targeted communities.
PREFERRED POSTION QUALIFICATIONS
Good understanding of the Monterey County community and landscape.
Two years of experience in developing and activating grassroots community events.
Knowledge of sports marketing, entertainment business, and event development and implantation.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Excellent writing and communication skills required.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work varied and long hours including night, weekends, and some holidays.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and street team events.
Compensation based on experience.
